For those administrative staff responsible for processing the appointment of Academic Personnel and Student Employees for Summer 2026, we encourage you to enroll in one of the following workshops that have been scheduled. - Memorial Day Holiday Campus Closure | May 25
The University will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2025, in observance of Memorial Day. Classes will not be in session and most campus offices will be closed.
- 60th Annual Staff Service & Recognition of Excellence Awards Event | May 28
Each year, the University honors staff, managers and auxiliary employees on their 5, 10, 15, and other five year service increments. For more information or to view a listing of Employees Scheduled to be Recognized for their Years of Service to the University at the 2026 Event, go here.
- Celebrating a Birthday in June? Complete the CalPERS Dependent Re-Verification Requirement | Deadline: June 1
Dependent Re-verification (DRV) is the process of re-verifying the eligibility of your spouse, domestic partner, children, stepchildren, and domestic partner children (family members) enrolled for state health and dental benefits. Read more here. - Teaching in Summer Session 2026?

- May is Better Hearing Month
The Language Speech and Hearing Center (LSHC) on the CSUN campus encourages you to asses your hearing health. Hearing loss is a common condition, often age-related or caused by noise exposure, resulting in reduced auditory capacity that can range from mild to profound. Schedule an appointment at the LSHC (818) 677-2856. We are located in Monterey Hall Room 100. -
