On Thursday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center Event Lounge, priest and chemist, Father Gerry Buonopane will share his journey, detailing the experiences and insights he gained as a food scientist that ultimately led him to the path of priesthood – and how he came to recognize the daily coexistence and complementarity of faith and science. | University Research Application Cycle Now Open!
|
The Summer 2025 application cycle is now open through Monday, February 17, 2025, at noon. The University Research Council offers assistance for summer stipend requests of up to $10,000 and research grants of up to $10,000 for use during the subsequent academic year. The URC was established to foster faculty research and to promote faculty development activities, including the identification of priorities and programs which shall provide opportunities for faculty growth and renewal. | ICSST Ranked No.1 for Highest Enrollment in Permanent Diaconate Formation Programs |
According to a report published by the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA), the Center for Diaconal Formation at ICSST was ranked first for enrollment in permanent diaconate formation programs nationwide for the 2023-24 academic year . This is a new record for the Center, which has seen enrollment numbers more than double since its inception in 2010. Learn more.

| 26th Annual Supervision Conference on Friday, November 15 |
The Department of Professional Psychology and Family Therapy will hold its 26th Annual Supervision Conference, featuring a presentation on "Decolonizing Psychotherapy Technique: Implications for Practice and Clinical Supervision." The event will take place virtually on Friday, November 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Keynote speaker Daniel José Gaztambide, PsyD, assistant professor at Queens College, City University of New York, will explore how cultural humility and decolonial theory can reshape modern psychotherapy and clinical supervision. 3D Printing the Past
The Archives and Special Collections Center regularly showcases historically significant print materials to visiting classes. Thanks to a Faculty Innovation Grant, librarian and archivist Jackie Deppe is working to bring one the earliest typefaces back to life using emerging technology of the 21st century. Using Photoshop and Illustrator from Adobe Creative Campus in connection with Fusion360 and a 3D printer, Deppe’s project aims to become an interactive and unique learning experience for the community. Hanover Grants Calendar for Interdisciplinary Research
Hanover produces a bimonthly Grants Calendar centered on certain funding interests. This calendar reviews upcoming grant opportunities focused on Interdisciplinary Research, covering a range of grantmakers. “Project Transitions” Underway with Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology Graduate Students
In 2023, the Departments of Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) in the School of Health and Medical Sciences (SHMS) received a five-year training grant totaling over $1.18 million from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). The grant is funding “Project Transitions,” an interdisciplinary training program for forty OT and SLP graduate students are working collaboratively during their clinical education experience with educators and school-age children with ASD and their families. 2024-2025 Faculty Innovation Grants: Adobe Creative Project
The Adobe Creative Project promotes the integration of Adobe Creative tools into coursework to enhance or replace class projects while fostering digital literacy skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and effective communication. Full-time faculty are eligible to apply, and proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis through December 2, 2024. Submit your Adobe Creative Project proposal.

2025 Big East Undergraduate Research Symposium Competition Due December 9, 2024
The Office of the Provost is searching for the team of students who will represent Seton Hall at the 2025 BIG EAST Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium! Please encourage any undergraduate students that you think may be interested in competing academically at the highest level to complete a brief application explaining their research. Five research projects will be selected to form the Seton Hall team. Beginning January 17, 2025, team members will receive weekly individual and team coaching in preparation for their presentation.

Selected students will be supported for overnight travel to present their research at Madison Square Garden on Saturday March 15th, 2025. As an added bonus, all competing students will receive 1 complimentary ticket to the Men’s Basketball Conference Championship Game held in the evening. The call for abstracts will close on December 9, 2024.
