NESA's Final Week at Northgate

NESA's current location will close (temporarily), starting Friday, June 30, 2023 at 4:00pm

As learned in March of 2023, NESA will be temporarily relocating from the Northgate Lions Recreation Centre starting this July, while the building undergoes some infrastructural renovations.

The NESA Team continues to work towards securing alternate locations for its programs and activities for the coming seasons. Our last update to members was provided on June 12, 2023 (click here to read it).

At this time, the only venue that has been secured for summer programming is the Rundle Park / ACT Centre which will host 30 different fitness programs. We will also be offering six different off-site tours and outings in July and August.

NESA will be offering more programs across multiple different North-Edmonton venues in the Fall and Winter seasons and endeavour to have more updates and information about this by mid-August.

NESA remains committed to communicating operational and programming updates to its members and will do so by updating its website as soon as more details are confirmed.

Need help getting to your NESA programs?

If you are unable to access NESA's programs due to transportation obstacles and/or financial limitations, we encourage you to email us at transportation@nesa1.ca so the team can determine if you may be eligible for NESA's transportation subsidy program.

Final week to get Your Grocery Cards at NESA!

If you are interested in purchasing more grocery gift cards before NESA closes this week, please stop by during our regular business hours (Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm) to stock up. With the upcoming move out of the facility and the few weeks the team will need to settle into its temporary locations, the gift card sale will be on hold temporarily. Be sure to visit us this week to stock up!

Condolences to Dauphin

In light of the recent and very tragic vehicular highway accident that happened in Dauphin, Manitoba, the NESA Board of Directors wrote a letter to the Dauphin community to extend the Association's condolences and sympathy for this tragedy. Farewell to our friends at EMMA Catering

If you haven't already heard the news, our catering partner and dear friends Dragana and Milenko from EMMA Catering have recently confirmed that after this month, they will be parting ways with NESA and Northgate to pursue new endeavours.

While we are all very excited and happy for the new adventures that await them, we want to make sure they receive a proper send off! We invite all friends and members of the NESA community to visit us during our regular business hours to sign our 'Farewell Book' that we will present them at the end of the month.

We welcome you to write your favorite memory or a farewell message you'd like to share with EMMA Catering. This book will be available for you to sign until NESA's upcoming closure on June 30, 2023.
