APAICS Kakehashi Program- Deadline: December 16! The Kakehashi Program to Japan (March 10-19, 2023) is designed to promote people-to-people exchange between Japan and the United States. The program will provide participants with an enhanced understanding of Japanese economics, society, history, culture, politics, and diplomatic policies and encourage individuals to play an active role in the future of U.S.-Japan relations. The students selected to participate in the program shall be comprised of individuals from Asian American families or have some Asian ancestry. All of the student participants shall also demonstrate that they are motivated in playing an active role in promoting deeper cultural exchanges between Japan and the United States both now and in the future. Travel and accommodations are included. Open to U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents, currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students.

Point Foundation Scholarships- Deadline: December 21! Point Foundation (Point) empowers promising lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential – despite the obstacles often put before them – to make a significant impact on society. Recipients receive scholarships of up to $10,000. Open to all students regardless of citizenship.

The Trinity Fellows Program at Marquette University- Deadline: January 15. The Trinity Fellows Program is a graduate fellowship program dedicated to developing urban leaders with a commitment to social and economic justice. The fully-funded program is intended for committed individuals who care about the well-being of others, about issues of social and economic justice, and who wish to acquire experience in the urban nonprofit sector while studying for two years toward a Master's degree. Fellows participate in a 21-month study/work program while earning a master's degree in one of the following fields of study:

Teaching Assistant Program in France (TAPIF)- Deadline: January 15. TAPIF places 1,200 Americans each year in teaching assistant positions in French public primary and secondary schools. Assistants work in all regions of metropolitan France, as well as in Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guiana, and Reunion. These are paid 7-month positions. Assistants teach 12 hours per week in up to 3 schools. Classes are conducted in English. Teaching assistants conduct all or part of a class, typically leading conversations in English. The Baer Reintegration Scholarship- Deadline: January 31. The Baer Reintegration Scholarship is open to individuals diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, or Major Depressive Disorder. Scholarship amounts are needs-based and confidential. Should you become a finalist in the spring of 2023, we work with you and the financial aid office of your school of choice to determine an appropriate amount. Our scholarship awards range from several hundred to several thousand dollars. Open to graduate and undergraduate students who meet the eligibility requirements. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

The LAGRANT Foundation Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarships- Priority Deadline: January 16. Students must be attending accredited institutions in the U.S. and majoring in the fields of advertising, marketing, or public relations. Selected undergraduate students will receive scholarships of $2,500 each and graduate students will receive scholarships of $3,750 each. The scholarship recipients also receive a trip to New York City, New York where they will participate in career building activities. This includes a welcome dinner with a keynote speaker, three day-long career development workshops and a scholarship & donor recognition reception. During these activities, students will have the opportunity to meet industry professionals, network and gain exposure to the advertising, marketing and public relations world.

The Zed Factor Fellowship- Deadline: January 2. The fellowship includes pairing fellows with aerospace industry mentors, placing them in paid summer internships, and providing opportunities for them to build a community (via a summit and other gatherings, in-person and virtual, throughout and after the summer program). The participants will also be required to give back to their communities, providing mentorship to a younger community member, building a program in their high school, or finding an appropriate way to grow and expand the impact of the Zed Factor Fellowship beyond themselves.

Department of Energy Scholars Program- Deadline: January 23. The DOE Scholars Program offers unique opportunities that introduce students or post-graduates to the agency’s mission and operations. Participants in the DOE Scholars Program gain a competitive edge as they apply their education, talent and skills in a variety of scientific research settings within the DOE complex. Appointments are available for a variety of disciplines at participating DOE facilities nationwide.

Apply by December 4Research Internships with The Wilson Center
The Woodrow Wilson Center Research Assistant interns are students who provide 12-15 hours of research assistance each week. Students work one-on-one with an expert to conduct in-depth analysis of pressing issues. In Spring 2023, interns have the flexibility to opt for a fully remote, fully in-person in DC, or hybrid internship. Interns receive a $500 monthly stipend, unless they are receiving external funding or are deemed ineligible to receive a stipend by their university. The Center can also facilitate academic credit options. Applicants must have a 3.0+ GPA . Applicants must be current undergraduates or recent graduates (within one calendar year). NonUS students studying in the US are eligible if they hold a valid F-1 or J-1 visa and appropriate work authorization. Learn more.
