Future Fulbrighters | April 2019

Monthly advice, guidance, and reminders about our campus application process.
Dear Future Fulbrighters,
You are receiving this email because you expressed interest in the 2020-21 Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The application is now open and I encourage you to explore the website before selecting a country and grant type. As a reminder, you can only apply for one award (and one country) per cycle.
Please pay close attention to our campus timeline listed below. I also recommend that you bookmark this page, which provides the most up-to-date info on our campus process and resources.
I am available to answer any questions you may have. We can meet virtually, in-person, or via phone.
Looking forward to working with you!
Sincerely,
Cassidy Alvarado
Director of ONIF
What Should You Be Working On?
  • Narrow down countries of interest and grant type
    • Why do you need to teach English, conduct research, or pursue a graduate degree in X country?
  • Meet with ONIF to seek advice on which country and/or grant to pursue
  • Let potential recommenders (especially faculty) know that you intend to apply and will need a letter of recommendation by August 31
    • Remember, it may be difficult to reach faculty over summer, so plant the seed now before the end of the semester!
  • If you are applying for a Study/Research award, begin sending emails to faculty at prospective institutions abroad
