SEPTEMBER VOLUNTEERING
Greetings, Volunteers!

The weather is cooling off finaly, and perfect for getting involved and volunteering! It's not too late to fit in some September volunteering - and we could use a number of volunteers next week to represent us at the Cumberland County Fair, with plenty of shifts available. More details below!

To sign up for an event this month and receive a month of free Garbage to Garden service, RSVP by email and we will help answer any questions you may have. Then simply send confirmation of your volunteer hours to volunteer@garbagetogarden.org to receive credit.

Happy Composting,

Cumberland County Fair
Sunday, Sep 25th - Saturday, Oct 1st
Daily shifts: 1pm-4pm, 4pm-7pm

Join us for the 150th Cumberland County Fair! Volunteer to represent us at our information table inside the Horticulture Center: Share your experience curbside composting (and volunteering!) with Garbage to Garden, and help familiarize attendees with our service and how it works. We will provide references for FAQs but mostly look for you to share your enthusiasm for composting!
Volunteer with us for three hours to earn a month of free service and a T-shirt, and then stay to enjoy the fair!
Help us fill bags of compost!

As the season winds down, we need lots of extra hands to help fill bags of compost to keep up with demand.

Compost bagging begins on Mondays and Wednesdays at 9am at our shop in Portland (as long as it is not raining).
Come lend a hand for ~1.5 hours in exchange for one month of free service!

No need to RSVP, but please do check in with the office upstairs while here so we can credit your account. And don't forget to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
