Fund for Education Abroad Spring 2021 Scholarship- Deadline: September 16. FEA invests in promising students with financial need who wish to study abroad. Potential applicants who meet our eligibility requirements may participate on any international education program that meets their academic objectives. Spring 2021 scholarships range from $1,250 – $5,000 and can be applied for programs that run for at least 28 days.
**NEW Fulbright** 4 English Teaching Assistant Awards to Burman (Myanmar)- National Deadline: October 13. Beginning Fall 2021, ETAs will be placed at universities, teacher training colleges, or similar higher education institutes. No foreign language proficiency required. Candidates from all majors are welcomed but those with Education/English majors who possess prior teaching experience are preferred. As cultural ambassadors, ETAs are expected to exhibit a high level of professionalism and share aspects of American culture with their schools. Contact ONIF ASAP, if interested.
Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts
The John Quincy Adams Society Marcellus Policy Fellowship- Deadline: August 16! This fellowship helps the next generation of US foreign policy leaders combine knowledge of foreign policy, work on the craft of effective policy writing, and develop the ideas and skills necessary to guide American foreign policy in the future. The Fellowship is open to current students (graduate and undergraduate) as well as those with 0-1 year of employment in the foreign policy space. Open to any citizenship. Fellows will receive a $750 stipend.
WBUR Newsroom Fellowship in Boston- Deadline: October 13. A yearlong program for journalists eager to pursue a career in public media. Applicants should be recent graduates or early-career journalists who are ambitious, hold a passion for public radio, are looking to build reporting and production skills, and have a demonstrated experience with and commitment to advancing issues of underrepresented voices in public radio.
**NEW Fulbright** 1 Master’s Degree in Ethnic Relations and Cultures Award at National Dong Hwa University in Taiwan- National Deadline: October 13. As the program is taught in Chinese, A minimum of completion of two years of college-level (intermediate level) Chinese is required. The program combines one year of intensive studies of the Chinese language with a two-year master’s degree program. The Department of Ethnic Relations and Cultures in the College of Indigenous Studies is the first department in Taiwan dedicated to the study of ethnic relations and cultures. The program curriculum emphasizes inter-disciplinary training in the humanities, a focus on ethnic relations, and practical courses that include fieldwork, case studies and service learning. **NEW Fulbright** 2 Master’s Degree Program Awards in Brand and Fashion Management at Fu Jen Catholic University in Tawian- National Deadline: October 13. This program is taught in English. The Fall 2021 BFM Program is the very first Master’s Degree program of its kind in the greater China and Asia Pacific area. The program is designed to cultivate interdisciplinary managers and future leaders from the dimensions of branding, JEV (Journey of Entrepreneurial Venturing), marketing, trends analysis and global fashion and management. Also, the internationally focused program covers Marketing, Luxury Brand Management, Lifestyle and Fashion, and Innovation with a Sustainable Future. Cox-State Department Diplomacy Seminar
The Cox-State Department Diplomacy Seminar is a competitive, fully funded professional exploration program for undergraduate students from groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service who want to gain a better understanding of the role of diplomats in promoting diplomacy and to learn about the educational, internship, and career opportunities in the Foreign Service and Civil Service at the Department of State. Must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older by October 18, 2020, enrolled in an undergraduate program (or demonstrate intent to return within one year if not currently enrolled), have a GPA of 3.2 or above, and be able to participate in all aspects of the program for the full duration of the program.
