With My Back to the World, a new book of poems by Victoria Chang (Literature, Media, and Communication) is shortlisted for the Forward Prize, one of the biggest literary prizes in the U.K. Chang also received the prestigious Civitella Ranieri Writing Fellowship, which includes a six-week residency in Umbria, Italy.

Gen. Philip Breedlove, Will Roper, and Adam Stulberg (International Affairs) participated in the international multidisciplinary workshop "Towards a Multidimensional Understanding of European Security," held in Helsinki in June. The workshop focused on the changing nature of war with an emphasis on Russia and Euro-Atlantic security.

Nationally known speakers will illustrate the impact of the areas represented in our college in TEDx-style presentations, followed by IAC unit leaders, who will relate how their areas boost belonging, learning, and research our campus. The event will offer a panoramic view of the massive influence of the liberal arts at Georgia Tech and beyond.
