A CTE Faculty Teaching Associate (FTA) observes your class, then meets with you to share insights to help enrich the classroom experience for you and your students. Note: This is a pilot program for the Oxford campus only; spaces are limited.

Teaching with AI-Inclusive and AI-Resistant Learning Experiences |
Learn more about crafting assignments that either center or de-center generative AI. This online course is CTE Director-Approved and free to you. And, access is easy.

The purpose of CTE-IGNITE (Incorporating Generative AI With Novel Ideas for Teaching Excellence) grants is to encourage scholarly teaching around the opportunities and challenges presented by Generative AI. There are 3 levels of grants available.

Major Teaching Project Grant Proposal |
Deadline: October 15, 2025
Submit a CTE major teaching project grant proposal (up to $3,000). These grants encourage curricular and pedagogical innovations that result in more engaged and improved student learning. Innovations may be at the course, department, division, and/or university levels.

E. Phillips Knox Distinguished Teaching Award Nomination |
Deadline: October 15, 2025
This award was established by Miami alumnus E. Phillips Knox, a 1968 graduate, to recognize creative, innovative, and engaging teaching methods at the undergraduate level.
