Sharing What We Know Best: FUN & Enriching Activities!
Session Share: UACS Watch Party
Lea School families were invited to watch the movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs!
Thursday's session focused on identifying big emotions. During our self-care check-in group discussion, we talked about big emotions and how we can use the metaphor of weather to identify one's emotions. When someone is experiencing distressing feelings, it can be easy to feel stuck and think that these emotions will last forever. However, just like weather is always changing, our emotions can always change as well.
We asked students to identify which type of weather most reflected their emotions during that exact moment. Students shared a range of emotions, with one participant saying they feel like a sunny day, and another stating they felt more like a cloudy day, and a third saying they felt like a tornado!

K8 Feature: Young Quakers!

The Young Quakers program (YQ) is working hard to keep UACS students active! All YQ athletes are invited to join weekly virtual workouts on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 4:30pm. During sessions, YQ lacrosse and track and field coaches lead team check-ins and at-home workouts. If you can't make the live sessions, follow the YQ Instagram, @penn_young_quakers. There, you'll find a wide variety of recorded workouts and sports-specific skills that can be watched at any time. Led by YQ coaches and Penn student-athletes, these workouts provide quick and easy opportunities to get moving!
