January 6, 2025
Happy New Year, Eagles! We hope you and your loved ones had a relaxing and joyous holiday season and that you're excited to join the AU community!
With you joining us for New Student Orientation (NSO) this Thursday, the countdown is almost over. This email newsletter will be slightly longer than past editions; it will serve as a review of everything you should know prior to you joining us for NSO on Thursday.
In addition to what's in this week's newsletter, don't forget that you can also catch up on what's been in past editions of the newsletter by visiting our Spring NSO webpage here: american.edu/student-affairs/orientation/spring-orientation.

Prepare for New Student Orientation (NSO)
|
|
|
As part of your transition to AU, all new students must participate in NSO. Through your engagement, you will meet and interact with other new students, meet some of our Orientation Leaders, and learn about important and valuable campus services, resources, and expectations of you as a student.
NSO will take place from Thursday, January 9 through Saturday, January 11. Thursday and Friday are full of important, required opportunities to learn about what it means to be a student at AU, while Saturday's programs are optional (but encouraged) as they help you familiarize yourself with campus and the city of DC.

Proxies and FERPA
You can also add proxies to your student account. Learn more about FERPA here.
