We are so glad to have you here! We would love to introduce you to THREE major programs that are housed in our office. Each of the following programs is aimed at providing you with tools to become a better leader. Get excited!!

The Leadership Certificate Program, fondly known as LCP, challenges participants to examine leadership from multiple perspectives and reflect on personal leadership beliefs. LCP is a two-semester, self-guided set of programs and objectives that must be completed in order to receive the certificate. Some requirements are specific, such as attending Perlmutter Leadership Conference on October 22nd, and others are flexible, such as participating in or leading a service project. There is no fee to participate in LCP, and it is open to students of all majors and years! See the red bar on the right for upcoming orientation dates and the link to sign up!

The Scholar Leader Living and Learning Community is an upper-class residential community involving a one-year residence in Elliott or Stoddard Halls. Endowments for each room provide partial scholarship to those students selected to live in the community. The Scholar Leader Community encourages resident-guided programming, academic involvement, service learning projects, and the opportunity to explore leadership through intensive group engagement. Each year, approximately 75 students are invited to join the Scholar Leader Community. Be on the lookout for more information about the application and selection process at the beginning of spring semester!

Sigma Alpha Pi is one of the largest national college leadership honor societies in the United States with almost 492 active chapters and 529,442 members. First and second year Miami students are invited to join each year based on academic record and achievement. Membership includes the opportunity to apply for over $200,000 annually in awards and scholarships, leadership certification, participation in exclusive leadership events on campus, the chance to network with other top students at Miami, and more! The deadline to join is Friday, September 15th, at 5:00pm. Potential members must attend ONE orientation below:

• September 12th from 6-7:30pm in Kreger Hall 319
• September 13th from 7-8:30pm in Benton Hall 102
