2023 Bible Challenge
Bishop Sharma D. Lewis is inviting the Mississippi Conference to seek God's word together though the 2023 Bible Challenge. Starting January 1, 2023, we will be reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation with questions for daily reflection.

PHUMC Youth greeted 2023 with a lock-in at the church on New Year's Eve. Fun and fellowship, missed sleep, and lots of food were the order of the night/morning. Thanks to our adult chaperones who were willing to forego sleep to make this exciting event possible.
This Sunday night our youth are hosting a welcome dinner for our newest members from 5:30-7:30 in the Youth Suite! Returning youth, please bring a side or dessert to share. Parents of  new youth who have just completed their time in the Bridge Ministry, please text or email Geoff to confirm your student's attendance. 
Due to a fantastic number of registrations, we still need 2 more drivers to deliver us to Camp Wesley Pines on Saturday, January 14, and 3 more to bring us home on Monday, January 16. Click here to sign up or contact Geoff for more info.

As we look towards a new year, we are updating our required background checks and training for our volunteers. If you are a volunteer or wish to volunteer with our Children and/or Youth Ministries, you should receive an email about an online training through Ministry Safe. We will hold a Volunteer Training Session following the worship service on January 29. This will go over Safe Sanctuary Policies we have in place at Parkway Hills UMC along with the Ministry Safe Training. Lunch and nursery will be provided.

We have a change of plans! The Rabbi will be out Friday, January 6, so we are pushing back the date of the visit to next Friday, January 13. Meet at PHUMC at 5:30. We will carpool to Beth Israel. We will get dinner after, but we would suggest eating a snack before.

Confirmation Morning Apart: Saturday, January 7, 9 to 12 in the Youth Suite. Lunch included.
Confirmation Sunday is January 22 during our 10:45 am worship service.
