Those facing short- or long-term impairments can face significant obstacles to navigating campus. Fortunately, Wolfpack Pick Up is here to offer a lift. This free ride service operates a fleet of golf carts, providing convenient transportation for NC State students, faculty and staff who need assistance traveling between locations within both main campus and Centennial Campus. Rides can be easily scheduled in advance through the Acuity app.

Top Five Web Accessibility Issues

One powerful tool in NC State’s digital accessibility toolbox is the Pope Tech accessibility scanner. Each month, the tool scans every page that makes up the university’s web presence — all 548,000-plus pages — to assess for accessibility issues. Here are the top five errors, why they matter and how to fix them. Addressing these issues is essential to meeting the new digital accessibility requirements by the April 2026 deadline.

  • February is Sexual Health Awareness Month at NC State, and Campus Health, the Counseling Center, Prevention Services, LGBTQ Pride Center and other campus partners have several upcoming events to educate the campus community about this important topic.
  • Revisions to REG 08.00.02, formerly known as the Computer Use Regulation, were approved by the chancellor in December. The retitled Use of IT Resources Regulation was revised to provide clarity on issues like data security, privacy and monitoring.
  • Audition slots for University Theatre’s 2025 TheatreFEST productions are available.
  • University Theatre’s production of Seussical opens Feb. 20 and will run through Feb. 23 in Stewart Theatre, tickets are on sale now.
  • Join the African American Cultural Center for Chronic Illness Reel-ness: Panel Discussion of Chronic Illness in the Black Community through the lens of Kennedy Ryan’s book “Reel” on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This is a hybrid event, in-person at the AACC Library or via Zoom (register for Zoom link).
