International Business Venturing & Socio-economic Development
This virtual global program explores international entrepreneurship through interactive company visits, executive speakers, and engaging team-building activities. All or Multiple Disciplines
IGNITE Fellows- Deadline: May 3 for Southern CA! Other locations have later deadlines. A premier fellowship program for women in or just out of college who want to jump-start their public service careers. Every year IGNITE recruits a cohort of diverse and passionate women in communities across America and provides them with resources, training, and networks to flex their political power and mobilize women on their campuses and in their communities to become civically engaged. Fellows work around 15 hours per week and serve as ambassadors for IGNITE’s mission and vision and play a valuable role in our efforts to spread a national message that it is time for young women to step into political power. Fellows will be paid $12,000 across the year of service.
GrubStreet’s Teaching Fellowship for Black Writers- Deadline: May 25! Provides financial and professional development support to two self-identified Black writers interested in teaching classes, participating in events, and working with our instructors and staff to deepen our curriculum. The fellowship includes compensation of $20,000, artistic mentorship, and access to the GrubStreet community and the Muse and the Marketplace conference.
HACU United Talent Agency Scholarships- Deadline: May 28! Leading global talent and entertainment company United Talent Agency represents many of the most acclaimed figures across film, television, news, music, sports, speakers, theater, fine art, literature, video games, podcasts and other social and digital content. UTA is offering scholarships of $2,500 for currently enrolled juniors and seniors. Applicants should be eager to pursue a career within the business side of the entertainment industry and must identify as Hispanic/Latinx. Open to All majors.
HACU Oracle Scholarships- Deadline: May 28! Oracle is offering scholarships of $2,125 to students of all majors. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
LitUp Writers Fellowship- Deadline: May 30. Powered by The Readership, LitUp will provide five emerging writers with an all-expenses-paid retreat, a three-month mentorship with a published author, and marketing support from Reese’s Book Club. LitUp is a journey and we’re with you every step of the way.
California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation (CLLCF) Scholarship- Deadline: June 1. The California Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation (CLLCF) is pleased to invite all qualified California residents to apply for a $5,000 scholarship. This scholarship program was established to assist deserving students by offering financial assistance to help meet educational expenses. You do not have to be Latinx to apply. Open to undergrad and graduate students.
Golden Women Scholarship- Deadline: June 15. Golden Women Foundation provides scholarships based on need and exceptional citizenship. Women who excel in their community through volunteer efforts, whether they are new to college, currently enrolled or always wanted the opportunity to go to school to obtain a degree or further their careers may qualify for a scholarship. LMU's Miriam Admasu won this award last year!
Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts
WCPI Congressional Fellowship on Women and Public Policy- Deadline: June 7. The fellowships are designed to train potential leaders in public policy formation to examine issues from the perspective, experiences, and needs of women. Fellows work 40 hours each week in a congressional office as a legislative assistant on policy issues affecting women. Fellows meet weekly for issue seminars directed by the WCPI staff. The program runs until the end of July 2022. Open to students who currently are enrolled in a graduate program, or who have completed such a program within two years of the fellowship start date (January 2022), are eligible.
Frank R. Seaver College of Science & Engineering
Marion B. Sewer Distinguished Scholarship for Undergraduates- Deadline: June 1. Offers financial support to students who demonstrate an interest in the fields of biochemistry and molecular biology and enhance the diversity of science. Students whose social, educational or economic background adds to the diversity of the biomedical workforce or who show commitment to enhancing academic success of underrepresented students are eligible. The scholarship provides up to $2,000 toward undergraduate tuition costs. Must be a ASBMB member to apply.
Scholars for Conservation Leadership Program- Deadline: June 4. A career and leadership development program for rising seniors that aims to expand opportunities for students to pursue careers in natural resource management and conservation, with an emphasis on engaging underrepresented and minority students. The 2021 program will bring together 10-20 undergraduate college students from across the country for a virtual professional development experience in conjunction with Rally: The National Land Conservation Conference(link is external), being held virtually October 5-7. After the seminar, the students will attend the conference where they will have the opportunity to participate in numerous educational trainings and workshops and connect with professionals from across the nation. Additionally, each scholar will be partnered with a mentor during the conference. The scholars will be honored at the conference, and one of the scholarship recipients will also be awarded a one-year fellowship to intern with a land trust.

Los Angeles County Arts Summer Internship Program- Deadline: May or when positions are filled. Apply ASAP. The Los Angeles County Arts Internship Program provides 10-week, full-time paid summer internships in nonprofit performing, film, presenting, literary and municipal arts organizations to eligible undergraduate college students. All majors welcome and students may apply to multiple positions.
UC Davis School of Law KHOP Summer Session- Deadline: June 4. The KHOP Summer Session is designed to equip high potential undergraduate students from underrepresented communities with the skills necessary to excel in the law school admissions process, while also introducing students to current law students, lawyers and faculty members at UC Davis School of Law. The KHOP Summer Session also helps students improve their critical analysis and writing skills through iterative writing assignments and presentations on topics designed by students. The no-cost program consists of a series of full-day Saturday presentations and workshops, and a Friday visit to a trial or appellate courtroom, during the summer.
