| Dear Red Wolves:
I have great news for you (finally!). This past Friday, A-State was granted permission to draw down our ARPA funds (sometimes known as CARES III funds). We immediately initiated that process, and we expect to have access to the funds shortly. This includes money that will go to cover COVID-related costs at A-State and the funds that are to be distributed to our students.
Like you, I wish that we had been able to do this much earlier, but all public colleges and universities in Arkansas were under the same constraints. The good news is that we have already received approval for our distribution plans, so once we get the funds in our accounts, we can start distributing them to students very quickly. If all goes well, we should be able to start distributing the funds this week. The distribution will take two or three days, so if your classmate has received their deposit and you haven’t, feel free to check in but you might wait until the end of this week. Remember, this first distribution is only to students who were enrolled during the Spring 2021 semester.
If there is any new delay in that process, I will let you know.
Best,
DrD
