Session Name: Fostering the Development of Master Adaptive Learners
Date: Wednesday, September 1st (12 – 1 p.m.)
Description:
The session will provide an overview of the Master Adaptive Learner including the four phases of the model and how master adaptive expertise advance expertise development. It will also cover how the master adaptive learner process works in the classroom, at the bedside, and advance leadership development.
Objectives:
1. Define the Master Adaptive Learner.
2. Apply the Master Adaptive Learner classroom checklist to plan and assess the effective implementation of the selected approach.
3. Describe how the Master Adaptive Learner can assess, adjust, plan, and learn at the patient's bedside.
4. Apply the Master Adaptive Learner model as a framework for leadership development in learners.

Session Name: Microaggressions Against Women Are Bad for Men Too: Understanding the Negative Effects of Out-Group Bias on People with In-Group Identities
Date: Tuesday, September 14th (1 - 2 p.m.)
Description:
This virtual session is developed for faculty, staff, and students in medical education with differing and diverse gender identities. All are welcome, but the content is best received by persons who have a general understanding of the negative impacts of microaggressions.
Objectives: 
  1. Discuss with others the negative system-level effects of gender-based microaggressions.
  2. Create goals for deconstructing bias at the individual level.
  3. Reflect on the benefits of learning and work environments where women thrive.
