Capital Campaign Update
The beautiful and poignant story of the Book of Ruth, which we read every year on the holiday of Shavuot, reminds us that the personal choices we make can have an impact for many generations to come. Shavuot also reminds us that we all stood together at Mount Sinai to receive the Torah. These reminders—that we stand together and that our choices have ripples that reach far beyond us—both underscore the value of community.
Our new collaborative—a shared campus for Hebrew College and several partner organizations—is based on the philosophy that we are stronger together. We are fortunate to have such amazing partners in this initiative who share our deep commitment to Jewish learning and life.
We are pleased to report we have raised $8.6 million in generous leadership gifts toward our $9.5 million goal. When we reach $9.5 million, we will unlock a generous $1.0 million challenge grant from a national philanthropic foundation.
As we continue to raise funds for this innovative and exciting campus and look forward to breaking ground in the fall, we want to thank everyone who has so enthusiastically supported this project. We hope you will continue to join us in branching out and building together.
Myra Snyder, MAJS`01, Me'ah`97 Hebrew College Trustee and Capital Campaign committee co-chair, on behalf of fellow co-chairs Beverly Bavly, Nancy Kaplan Belsky, Andy Offit, Susan Schechter, and Diane Troderman

Branching Out: Jewish Women's Archive
"I’m so excited that the Jewish Women’s Archive will be part of this forward-thinking vision of collaboration and community. As we emerge from the pandemic, it is energizing to reimagine Jewish life with creative and thoughtful colleagues. We look forward to deepening our partnership with the students and faculty of Hebrew College and the other members of the shared campus."

Branching Out: Keshet
"All of us at Keshet are thrilled to be joining Hebrew College and the other partners on the new shared campus for Jewish life. We look forward to opportunities for networking, cross-pollination, and creative visioning together. Surely, this will be a case of the sum being far more than its parts."
— Idit Klein, President & CEO of Keshet

Roger, Sheila and Rabbi Jessica Kate Meyer
"My parents were married at Temple Reyim, and then I was ordained by Hebrew College. When we heard that the campus is moving to Temple Reyim, we felt that it was doubly blessed. And we feel the excitement and energy around this move; for this campus of vibrant Jewish organizations learning from and with each other.” — Rabbi Jessica Kate Meyer `14, Rabbi/Chazzan at The Kitchen in San Francisco.
