Dear Tufts community members,
As more reports and details emerge about the atrocities committed by the terrorist organization Hamas in its attack on Israel this weekend, and I see the harrowing and painful pictures of the suffering of innocent civilians, I feel obliged to write to you again to share my personal thoughts on the situation.
The events that have come to light are pure barbarism. The attackers made no distinction between young and old, military and civilian, healthy and infirm. Hostages were taken and many still remain unaccounted for. I denounce these heinous acts in no uncertain terms.
The next few days and weeks will be difficult for all of us, but I have faith in the strength of our community. Let us grieve together for all the innocent lives lost.
