This week's featured photo showcases three RVR residents: Jim Noyes, Lani Kitching and Dave Santini enjoying what looks like an awesome day fishing on the Roaring Fork. According to Lani, they were "slaying it!" Thank you for sharing the fun with us, Lani!
We'd like to feature your picture in an upcoming newsletter. If you're interested in having your photo highlighted in the weekly news, please submit images to: jessica.hennessy@rvrma.org.

We have noticed an increased number of phishing and spoofing emails come to us in recent months. We urge community members to be aware of these cyber attacks and think before you click!
Often hackers will visit the websites of an organization and impersonate employees. You may see an email that uses the name of someone at RVRMA, but when you click to reply, the email address may not look familiar. Remember, just because the heading displays a trusted name, it does not mean that the email address belongs to that person. If it seems Phishy, it’s probably Phishing!
|
| |
|
Another form of phishing will use fake hyperlinks to lure you into sharing personal information. Spoofing happens when someone impersonates a trusted contact or brand to access your personal information. We urge the community to stay sharp and remember you can always call to confirm the email is legitimate.
If you want more information about how to recognize, avoid and report phishing scams, please visit, Federal Trade Commission Consumer Advice - How to recognize and Avoid Phishing.

There's a major heatwave sweeping the country, and although air conditioning is a convenient way to cool down, it's not the most eco-friendly option. Hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) is the primary refrigerant used in air conditioning units. HFCs are very potent greenhouse gases, even more so than carbon dioxide. So while turning up the AC is completely necessary during times like these, there are some other ways you can cool down too. Fans are one of the most energy-efficient ways to beat the summer heat and require a lot less energy than running an air conditioner. Dressing for the heat can help too. Break out the summer clothes you've been waiting all year to wear. And finally, nothing will cool you down quicker than a dip in the pool. And aren't we lucky to have a wonderful pool right here in RVR!

Recreational Vehicle Storage |
|
|
Many of our community members own all sorts of recreation vehicles and other outdoor toys. We are noticing more of these types of vehicles parked in RVR in recent weeks.
As a kind reminder, Second Amendment to the RVR Master Declaration, Section 3.16, Vehicle Parking, Storage, Operation, and Repair states: “No boats, trailers, buses, motor homes, campers (on or off supporting vehicles), motorcycles, snowmobiles, recreational vehicles, golf carts, trucks, industrial or commercial vehicles (both cabs or trailers), abandoned or inoperable vehicles, or any other similar vehicles shall be parked or stored in or upon the Master Common Areas or upon a Lot or Unit except for temporary loading and unloading during daylight hours…”
We ask that you please make arrangements to store your RV in another location if it is currently parked in your driveway.
