Dynamics of domestic abuse permeate each part of the legal system, requiring expertise and specialized responses. This virtual forum focuses on the importance of having and ways to gain knowledge about domestic violence by connecting law students with judicial officers. During this forum, judges will discuss how domestic violence is prominent in all their cases, whether they knew it or not, will explore the pathways within the legal profession that led them to the judiciary, and will explain the role of attorneys and judicial officers in enhancing safety for survivors and children and promoting compliance for offenders.
