PORTLAND EVENTS
  • The panel discussion AIDS Aware: The Need is Still There on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at
    5:00 p.m. will discuss the importance of getting tested for HIV and why it should be a regular
    part of our health regimen.
IMPORTANT PORTLAND INFO
  • Construction on the Burnside Bridge will move to the north side in November, blocking the door on the top of the bridge. The door under the bridge will remain open.
  • As a reminder, bikes are allowed to be brought in and out of the Couch Street entrance after
    6:00 p.m. During regular building hours, bikes are still required to be brought in under the
    Burnside Bridge.
  • Stay connected with events and opportunities by joining UO Portland, a student-run
    Facebook page.
  • Students are able to use PSU Dental Services on a fee-for-service basis at a reduced price compared to private dental clinics.
  • The UO Portland Library has equipment available for 24-hour loan and rooms to reserve for group or individual study.
  • Get access for Lynda.com training videos through the local library.
PORTLAND TALKS AND LECTURES
NOTEWORTHY IN PORTLAND
  • The Tree Lighting Ceremony at Pioneer Square will be held Friday, Nov. 23 at 5:30 p.m.
  • The Discovery of King Tut will be on display at OMSI until Jan. 27.
  • The Oregon Symphony has many performances throughout the holiday season. Check out their concerts here.
  • Enjoy the Oregon Zoo for a fraction of the cost with $5 admission per person on the second Tuesday of every month from September—May.
  • Honoring Native American Heritage Month, the Multnomah County Library is hosting events throughout the Portland libraries.
