Dear Charger,

We have exciting news: CYPRESS COLLEGE WILL BE OPEN IN THE FALL! Did we just scream that in all caps? Yes! Why? Because we are coming back!

Here's what you need to know:

1. We'll be Open

Starting Monday, August 2, you'll be able to join us on campus as we prepare for the fall semester. Our services (see below) will be open, you'll be able to hang out by the beautifully renovated pond, walk the track, toss a frisbee in Gateway Plaza, shop in the Bookstore, study in the Library/Learning Resource Center, and — well — do everything you did prior to the pandemic.

2. Zoom vs. Room

As we ramp up to a full return, roughly 20% of our classes will be available on campus and in person. An easy way to tell if you're selecting a class that meets remotely or on campus is to look at the location in the class schedule. If the class is on campus, you will find a building and room number (e.g. HUM-136); if the class is remote or online, you will find or the word "Zoom" or "Online."

3. Online & In-Person

For the first time since March 2020, all of our services will be open in person; for the first time ever, all of our services will be available both in person and online. We know you enjoyed the convenience of services such as remote counseling and we know that you miss face-to-face interaction. Now, the option is yours.

4. On-Campus Protocols

We encourage all students and faculty to be fully vaccinated when classes begin the week of August 23. Students who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no longer need to wear a mask when outdoors or to socially distance from others while on campus to attend classes or access services. Students who are not vaccinated must wear a mask at all times — indoors and outdoors.

Out of an abundance of caution we are asking that all students who are unable to maintain an appropriate distance, even if fully vaccinated, continue wearing a face covering when indoors and near unvaccinated colleagues or students.

5. Get Started

We've been hard at work preparing for this historic moment. Now, it's your turn. To get started, use the buttons below to log in to myGateway and review the class schedule to make sure you're ready to go when registration opens up in July. Registration information was distributed to all students last week. If you did not see it, check your spam/junk folder or simply reply to this email to ask for assistance.
