Baylor Law School once again welcomed sixteen of the nation's top law student advocates for the 2026 Top Gun National Mock Trial Competition, one of the country's premier invitation-only advocacy tournaments. After three days of rigorous courtroom competition, Rebecca Goren of the University of California, Berkeley School of Law earned the 2026 Top Gun title by defeating Ali Alekri of New York University School of Law in the championship round, which was presided over by the Honorable Ignacio Torteya, III, BA ’92, JD ’95.
