Leadership skills are increasingly critical for physicians as healthcare becomes more collaborative, and NAM and TMA are dedicated to giving members the resources they need to thrive in the new healthcare environment.

The Leadership Lab focuses on improving clinical teamwork with a multi-month series of webinars and live group sessions. As part of the program, each participant will complete an improvement project within his or her practice environment, making use of the tools and skills acquired in the program.

The Tennessee Department of Health and various stakeholders began reviewing and updating the Tennessee Chronic Pain Guidelines in 2016.  The updated guidelines are posted on the Pain Management Clinic Registry’s website. Any prescriber treating a patient with chronic non-malignant pain should review the guide and implement the suggestions where appropriate. Any prescriber deviating from these guidelines needs to document why in the patient’s medical record.
