A board member from the Cedarburg Education Foundation, a local nonprofit, contacted Paul to facilitate a process that would create a strategic plan for the organization. To achieve the planning objectives, Paul first engaged the organization’s board with an online survey to solicit feedback on updating the organization’s mission statement and seek input for creating a vision statement.

Liz Gartman regional crops educator for Washington, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, and Ozaukee counties hosted a Regional Ag Day program in February developed to update farmers, ag professionals, and agency staff on current issues facing farmers as they plan for the 2024 growing season.

An important component of 4-H is the idea of igniting the “Sparks” of our youth members. But- what exactly is a Spark? In a broad sense, a Spark is an area of interest. However, according to the Search Institute, there is more to the definition. As stated on their website, “there are three types of sparks, something you are good at – a talent or skill, something you care deeply about – such as the environment or serving your community , or a quality you know is special – caring for others or being a friend.”

Jim will share research on how much information is retained based on how individuals learn; what adult learners need to learn as compared to youth learners; how adults learn; and how to rethink employee training.
