Fresh faces for your spring spaces
As much as we cherish our gardens & planters, we know there our times when they could use some new blood (or juice). Crassula capitella 'Campfire', to cite one such possible candidate, is now available at our online shop. We also encourage making room for our other store newbies, including the fab four below.

Bright light, cool city

We wanted to share the delightful effect that the seasonal weather has had on these two Team Altman sedeverias: Sedeveria 'Letizia' and Sedeveria 'Blue Elf'. As the kids say, "That red, though!"

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there

If it weren't for mothers, we wouldn't be around to lovingly fuss over dish gardens and landscapes. While it's too late to have plants arrive in time for Mother's Day, succulents make such swell gifts that perhaps you could remain in her good graces (ha!) despite your present's tardy arrival.
Our Mother's Day Collection, starring three lovely echeverias, will be available through at least Sunday.

May Succulent Tips

• We hope the spring stragglers (lingering cold areas) have finally caught up with the rest of us. If that's you, don't rush your succulents into the direct sun. They'll appreciate a gradual adjustment.
• If you choose to feed your spring/summer growers, do so once with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength.
• Have your succulents been putting on a superb flower show this spring? It's not a bad idea to inspect them for other known flower admirers: aphids. If you prefer not to snip the stalks, then dab those sticky squatters with an alcohol-dipped cotton swab. Gentle fingers work too.
