Check Overall Grade Calculations
Whether it’s for closing out summer or launching fall, please check that the Overall Grade column is calculating according to your syllabus. And if it displays letter grades, ensure the grading schema follows that of your department instead of the generic default.
Submit Grades to Banner from Ultra Courses
Send the “Overall Grades” from Ultra courses directly to Banner by clicking on “View Course and Institution Tools” from the righthand panel and selecting “Submit Grades to GWeb.”
Require a Second Camera with Respondus
As discussed in last month’s newsletter, Respondus Monitor can now use students’ mobile devices as a second camera. A camera on students’ hands helps make cheating more difficult.
Remove OSS Statements from Syllabi
Unfortunately, statements about OSS should be removed from syllabi, at least for this fall semester. The GW Writing Center offers consultations and LAI offers some academic success modules for students.
