In This Issue: May 9, 2025:

ILTexas Arlington Grand Prairie senior Carly Celestin is headed to Mount Holyoke College with nearly $500,000 in scholarships and plans to double major in speech pathology and graphic design.

Her journey is a testament to leadership, service, and the power of finding your voice.

This week, ILTexas MCJROTC cadets put “others before self” into action, handcrafting weather-resistant sleeping mats from hundreds of plastic bags. These mats will be donated to support unhoused individuals through D Squared Homes for the Homeless.

Students at ILTexas College Station K-8 are launching into STEM success, literally!

Through the MaxIQ Space Rideshare program, two student-built data chips will be sent to space, with one heading to the International Space Station this October aboard a SpaceX shuttle.

With guidance from Assistant Principal Krueger and support from partners like NASA and Princeton, our Eagles are reaching for the stars! 

Students from across ILTexas shone at the recent TCSAAL Track & Field meet, with impressive finishes district-wide. Leading the way—the Arlington-Grand Prairie HS girls’ team, who clinched their third consecutive state championship title! 

We Made the Top 5! Thanks to your support, ILTexas is a Top 5 finalist for Best Charter School in the Houston Chronicle’s 2025 Best of the Best Awards! 

Now it’s time for the Voting Round! Vote daily from May 12–27 to help us earn the top spot!

This is a Houston-based award, but ALL ILTexas families and staff across Texas can vote!
