The Homeless MInistry had a productive planning meeting today. We'll kick off our next project, (a shoe, clothing and coat drive), on August 6th. It will run for 6 weeks in concurrence with Dawn's next sermon series, Rethink Miracles. Watch for more information!

PHUMC Youth leave this Friday for a mission retreat at Seashore Assembly in Biloxi. Activities include "with-God's-help-we-can-make-a-real-difference-here" mission work during the day, and "bonfire-on-the-beach-friendship-and-fun" in the evenings. If you are interested, get your registration and $75 fee to Angie Williams ASAP! Why not bring it to tonight's Bible Study? All youth are encouraged to join us for a Bible Study at the Norris' home tonight at 6:00 pm. CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS. Matthew Kirk will lead the group, and dinner is provided.

Men's Ministry Road Trip: Men will leave from the church parking lot this Saturday, July 22nd at 8:00 am, arrive at Middendorf's right when they open, then spend the rest of the afternoon at the World War II Museum. The plan is to leave the museum and head home at 5:00 pm. It will be a great day!

Fifth and sixth grade students and their parents are invited to participate in an upcoming event at Parkway Hills called "Created By God". It is a study of human sexuality with a Christian foundation that was written by Rev. James H. Ritchie, Jr., a United Methodist minister and Christian educator. It will offer both you and your child an opportunity to learn, grow and celebrate the fact that we have each been wonderfully created by God, and are called to responsible living as sexual beings. Our very own Angie Williams will be leading this study. There is a $25 fee to help cover the cost of meals and a book for them to keep. The registration deadline is July 30th. Friends are welcome. We are kicking off a new year of Sunday School on August 6th!

Children are invited to enjoy doughnuts in their new Sunday School classrooms at 9:45 am on Sunday, August 6th. The celebration will continue for all children through 5th grade and their parents when we gather back at the church that evening for water slides, pizza and sno cones at 5:00 pm!

Our Kindergarten/1st grade class and 2nd/3rd grade classes have openings for Sunday School teachers. Would you like to be part of a teaching team and teach one or two Sundays a month? We use the Whirl curriculum which is very user-friendly. Please let Cynthia Gibbs know if you are interested in working with our children on Sunday mornings.

We love our acolytes! Anyone in 2nd grade and up is welcome to join our acolyte rotation. The next training sessions will be held August 20th and 27th.
