Emergency Rental Relief Programs in Suburban Philadelphia
Pennsylvania counties have tens of millions of dollars to help renters and landlords impacted by COVID-19.
Tenants can apply, or landlords can apply on behalf of current tenants.
The ERAP program does not have a maximum payment, and it allows for funding of past-due amounts. This is an improvement over the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency program from fall 2020, which capped rental assistance at $750 a month and required that landlords forgive the difference.

Required Member Training Saturday and Evening Sessions Added
“Ethics over Instincts” fulfills the Association 2019-2021 Membership Renewal Training Requirement and National Association of REALTORS® 2019-2021 Code of Ethics Training Requirement. Failure to complete this requirement before December 31, 2021, will result in the suspension of your REALTOR® membership on January 1, 2022, leading to possible termination of your membership on March 1, 2022, if still outstanding.
The September and October schedule includes in-person and webinar options. There are also a limited number of Saturday, and Evening sessions available.
Our sense of right or wrong and our tendency to do one thing over another thing is instinctive. Decision-making is often navigated on autopilot. In most cases, a REALTOR’S® autopilot or instincts are aligned with the Code of Ethics. “Ethics over Instincts” will address common scenarios where instincts and ethics clash giving attendees an opportunity to adjust their practice as needed.

Online Fraud is On the Rise - Protect Yourself and Your Clients
Fraud has been a major problem and is only getting worse with the COVID-19 pandemic. The FBI issued a Public Service Announcement in March 2020 to warn the public of an increase in fraud schemes related to the pandemic. The growing problem of fraud across industries reinforces the fact real estate agents need to be even more vigilant than ever.
It is now more important than ever to not only verify the identity of a prospective buyer or seller but also anyone you are dealing with over the phone such as the title company or lender. With FOREWARN®, real estate agents can verify a caller’s identity using the phone number they are calling from. FOREWARN® gives you access to several data points for risk mitigation and identity verification, including property and vehicle records, criminal records, and financial information including bankruptcies, liens, and judgments to help you make informed decisions. If the person on the line is not who they say they are, you should see red flags.
Click here to activate your member benefit FOREWARN® for unlimited access to tools that instantly verify a prospect's identity and public records (criminal, bankruptcies, liens, property records).

Chester County Expected to Grow More Quickly than Rest of RegionThe Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) recently announced its new population and employment forecasts for the region through 2050. While not experiencing quite as much growth as forecasted in the past, Chester County continues to grow at a significant rate, leading the region in both numbers of residents added, as well as percentage growth. The new forecasts replace DVRPC’s previous 2045 forecasts and include a population estimate of 645,673 residents by the year 2050 — a growth rate of 25.4%. The new forecast anticipates 373,664 workers by 2050 — a growth rate of 23.5%. The Delaware Valley region is seeing much slower growth overall, with an expected population growth of 7.6% and an employment growth rate of 6.9% by 2050. Through initiatives found in Landscapes3, the county has implemented strategies to help communities accommodate this growth while preserving Chester County’s character. The forecasts were developed by DVRPC staff in collaboration with planning staff throughout the member counties and cities. To learn more about Chester County’s recent population and demographics data, visit the planning commission’s data, maps, and reports.
