We've made several exciting upgrades to improve your workout experience!

New Improvements Include:

1. New Cardio Equipment

• Brand-new self-powered recumbent bikes, upright bikes, and ellipticals
• (Treadmills remain the same.)

2. New Strength Machines

• Biceps/Triceps Dual Machine
• Hip Abduction/Adduction Machine

3. New Fitness Accessories

• Added a variety of portable fitness equipment and accessories.

4. Improved Layout

• Rearranged the Fitness Centre for better flow and easier access to both the cardio and strength training areas.

5. New Cleaning Stations

• Replaced the previous wipe stations with new disinfectant wipe containers.

Jollean, one of NESA's Personal Fitness Trainers, will be available for demonstrations and to answer your questions on the following dates:

July 22, 27, 28, 29 | 12:00pm – 1:00pm

No appointment necessary—just stop by the Fitness Centre!

If the above mentioned dates don’t work, you are also welcome to stop by the fitness centre during our regular business hours and ask for a machine orientation from one of our volunteers!

The Bumpers and Burgers Fundraiser supports NESA’s Senior Transportation Program, helping local seniors stay active, independent, and connected to their community.

Last year, NESA provided 889 rides to seniors. This year, we hope to do even more — and this event helps make that possible.

Everyone is welcome — NESA members, non-members, friends, family, neighbours, and community supporters. Bring someone along, enjoy the classic cars, grab a burger, support a meaningful cause, and help us celebrate the incredible people who make NESA such a special place.

Free Admission! Tickets are only required for the luncheon, which includes a burger, chips, a cookie, and a beverage, catered by Caterology.

Luncheon Tickets: $15 each. Tickets are available until Friday, August 21 at 3pm. Purchase tickets here, by visiting the front desk, or by calling us at 780-496-6969.

We're looking for pre-1975 cars, trucks, and motorcycles to be part of our Bumpers and Burgers Car Show on Friday, August 28, 2026.

Fall is in the air—and we’re ready to kick up our heels!

Join the North Edmonton Seniors Association for Flatbroke & Footloose, a lively fall dance featuring live music from the Classic Country Music Duo Flatbroke.

Get ready for an evening of familiar country favourites, great company and plenty of room to dance. Whether you’re an experienced two-stepper, an enthusiastic toe-tapper or someone who simply loves listening to live country music, you're sure to have a great time!

A cash bar will be available throughout the evening, along with a 50/50 raffle. Limited selection of snacks available for purchase.

Pull out your plaid, dust off your boots and bring your dancing shoes for a feel-good evening of classic country music and fall fun.

Thank you to all of the well wishes from all of you retired members. You have all been very kind with the advice "you'll love it!!" "give yourself some time!" and other well lived retirement advice.

The time here has been inspiring and I have made many good friendships along the way, I look forward to wearing my new blue volunteer shirt and nametag later in the fall.

For every gift card purchased through NESA, our seniors’ recreation centre earns a small percentage from each sale. Those funds help support various seniors fundraising initiatives and programs at NESA.
