ACADEMICS AND CLASSES

Week eight wrap-up checklist:

Review dates and deadlines for final assignments.
Connect with the Tutoring and Academic Engagement Center for test prep, time management, and helpful resources for remote learning.
Use the UO Libraries' Services for Remote Learning to help you find research for your papers and class projects.
You can view the final exam schedule on the Registrar’s website. Connect with your instructor or check Duckweb for specific information about your exams.

Week nine preparation checklist:

Reach out to classmates and study groups to schedule study sessions for final exams.
Connect with an Academic Advisor to plan for future terms.
Regularly check the university's Going Remote and the UO COVID-19 Updates webpages for resources and updates.

NOTEWORTHY

Class of 2020, send a video message to your fellow seniors. Messages will be used during the virtual commencement and on the UO's social media.
Next Thursday there will be an Open Access Town Hall, 3:00-4:00 p.m. where you can discuss open access to scholarly resources with the Senate Sub-Committee.
UO's Accessible Education Center is accepting nominations for the 2020 Faculty Excellence in Universal Design Award, for teachers who have improved accessibility and flexibility.
The Bike Program is fixing flat tires for free in the Outdoor Program office in the EMU, Mondays 1:00–3:00 p.m. and Wednesdays noon–2:00 p.m.

WELLNESS

The Duck Nest putting on a Mental Wellbeing Virtual Art Show. Submit art you've made that reflects how mental health is affected isolation and social distancing.
Tuesdays, 4:00-4:40 p.m., there is a free online meditation class for Ducks.
The Duck Nest is still hosting virtual drop-in sessions to assist with applying for SNAP benefits.
Tomorrow, 1:00-2:00 p.m., there will be a student-run Transgender/Non-Binary Support Group meeting over zoom.
The Self-Compassion in Times of Uncertainty workshop will discuss core elements of self-compassion and provide a guided meditation next Thursday at noon.

VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS

Develop a solid plan to maximize your success for finals week at the Preparing for Finals Week Workshop tomorrow, May 22, 1:00–1:50 p.m. through Zoom.
Join the annual storytelling workshop and YouTube event Intertwined: Storytelling to listen to skillfully crafted stories tomorrow, May 22, at 7:00 p.m. This year's theme is 'Hidden.'
Learn how to engage in and facilitate difficult conversations at the Interrupting Oppression in Everyday Situations workshop Wednesday, May 27, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
