The Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response oversees the preparation, prevention, and response to all-hazards events at Tulane University. Through comprehensive risk assessment, training, planning, mitigation and response, we ensure a safe, healthy, and happy community.

Hurricane Season begins June 1 and ends November 30. It is imperative that students and their families develop a personal evacuation plan, and be ready to implement that plan if a storm threatens the New Orleans area. Please review these considerations for evacuation and submit your personal evacuation plan by July 15. Students living on campus should have already completed this in their housing application.
