Division of Finance Monthly Update |
As we approach February month-end, I am pleased to report that the results of the Budget Office’s comprehensive budget review projects targets will be achieved and we will meet operational needs for the rest of the academic/fiscal year.
Development of the FY26 budget is now underway, (visit the Finance Division website to see FY26 Budget Development calendar). As part of the FY26 budget development process, and to support upcoming strategic initiatives, Seton Hall leadership will soon conduct a non-personnel expense reduction exercise on specific account codes. This budget reduction exercise will be a good way for budget/cost center managers to scrutinize operating spend patterns and examine whether these expenses are truly needed to fulfill the mission of the department/University.

It is this renewed commitment to excellent fiscal stewardship that propels ‘Change Management with ADAPT ’25.’ The three states of Change Management are:
- Current State
- Transition State
- Future State
Successful change management is realized only when all of us take notice and ownership of the change in our daily workflows.
With the ongoing work to refresh business policies and websites, with the rollout of travel agency partnerships (Shorts Travel for Athletics and CTP for non-athletics travel) and especially with the upcoming launch of Unimarket later this spring, Seton Hall is currently in the middle of the transition phase to the future state of significantly improved, streamlined business processes. With ADAPT ’25, we will streamline processes, simplify tasks, and succeed - together.
