Dear Oregon SDC Network Members,
Thank you for your patience with delays in finalizing the agenda for our second and final day of our Fall 2023 Census Data Users conference. We’ve got a great session planned with two speakers from the American Community Survey (ACS) program with the Census Bureau. Mark Asiala will be speaking about the ways in which the ACS population counts have changed due to the 2020 Census and recent population estimates, and Gretchen Gooding will share a high-level view of changes coming to the ACS in the near future. Mark and Gretchen are senior ACS experts at the Census Bureau and we're thrilled to have them join us next week.
We will again be convening jointly with the members of the Washington State Census Data Center. Thank you to those of you who have participated in the survey for the events that you would like to see in 2024. If you have not yet participated, we would love to hear from you through our data users survey. The results of the survey will help us determine what topics and locations we should consider for the next meeting.
