Hello 4-H Members, Volunteers and Parents & Guardians!
You may have noticed a delay in this month's Chatter, and I apologize for that. The past several weeks has been filled with exciting opportunities and events, including Summer Academy, Summer Camp, the Northern Wisconsin State Fair, and preparations for Discover Wisconsin.
Through it all, our members, families, and volunteers have continued to show up, participate, and share feedback. Your involvement and insights help shape our programs and allow us to continuously improve the experiences we provide for young people.
As I reflect on the last few weeks, I feel an overwhelming sense of pride, inspiration, and gratitude. I am especially thankful for the volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to making our programs successful. Summer Camp, in particular, remains one of the highlights of the year, and the adventure we shared this summer truly captured the spirit, connection, and magic that make 4-H so special.
As we transitioned into fair season, I had the opportunity to be present throughout the Northern Wisconsin State Fair—whether leading activities in the Youth Building, working a shift in the Snack Bar (yes, all hands-on deck!), or watching our community rally around our members at the livestock auction and in support of our non-animal exhibitors. The stories shared, lessons learned, and connections made throughout the week reminded me just how fortunate we are to be part of such a supportive and caring community. Most of all, I am grateful for our 4-H members, who are truly the heartbeat of this program.
As we move into August and begin looking ahead, I want to remind you that I welcome your feedback and ideas. Whether it's a phone call, text message, email, Zoom meeting, or casual conversation, I value the opportunity to hear from you. In 4-H, we strive to "make the best better," and that includes continually evaluating our processes, calendars, programs, and communication methods.
August marks the beginning of planning for the 2026–27 program year, and I am excited to begin that work alongside all of you. Thank you for your partnership, your dedication, and your commitment to making Chippewa County 4-H a place where young people can learn, grow, and thrive. I look forward to another year of cheering on our members, supporting our volunteers, and continuing to move Chippewa County 4-H forward together.
Thank you for all you do,
Jordan
