Exciting Announcement: Founder Jim Coghlin, Sr., Transitions to Director and Honorary Chair Role

After 15 impactful years, DetecTogether founder Jim Coghlin, Sr., has transitioned to Director, Honorary Chair, and Chief Volunteer. Jim shared, "Leading this organization over the past 15 years has been an incredible journey, and I’m proud of the impact we are making and, most importantly, the lives we have helped save through early cancer detection education. I look forward to continuing this life-saving mission with you as we embark on the next chapter together.”

Patrick McCarty, elected to the board in 2022, was recently appointed Chair. As President and CEO of McCarty Companies, Patrick brings extensive nonprofit leadership experience, a wealth of knowledge and an unwavering commitment to DetecTogether’s mission.

“I am honored to step into this role during such a strategically pivotal time,” McCarty shared, “The work we do here is not just important—it’s life-saving. I’m fully committed to expanding our reach, ensuring more people have the knowledge and tools to detect cancer early, when it’s most survivable.” DetecTogether is poised to make even more impact in the fight for early cancer detection.

⛳A giant THANK YOU, Golf Fights Cancer, for choosing DetecTogether as a 2024 "Cause of Choice"! We couldn’t have asked for a better day—the fall weather was stunning, the course was challenging and fun, and the food and drinks were top-notch. The day wrapped up perfectly with a fantastic speaking program that brought the right balance of humor and heartfelt moments.

DetecTogether was in good company at Nerdstock Science to the Station, as we discussed how to enhance and improve fighterfighter's health and safety.

The First Responder Center for Excellence at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD, made this impactful event possible, and DetecTogether was honored to contribute to the vital conversation on life-saving early cancer detection education.
