  • Led by team captain Davin Vann, NC State football is hosting a Hurricane Helene relief drive. Requested items can be dropped off at the Close-King Indoor practice facility through Wednesday at 8 p.m.
  • Flu vaccinations are now available for students, faculty and staff on campus via appointments and walk-in clinics!
  • Do you have a plan for casting your ballot for the 2024 general election this fall? Pack the Polls provides information about the three ways to vote, including voting early in Talley Student Union Oct. 17-Nov. 3.”
  • October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Women’s Center hosts several events throughout the month. The Pack Survivor Support Alliance (PSSA) is a continuing education program that provides faculty and staff with ongoing opportunities to learn skills and support student survivors of interpersonal violence.
  • This year’s Annual Enrollment (AE) period for benefit plan enrollment is Sept. 30-Oct. 25. Choices made during the AE period will become effective Jan. 1, 2025, for the plan year Jan. 1, 2025 – Dec. 31, 2025.
  • Registration for the Step To It: Movement Challenge closes Friday, Oct. 4 at noon. Select a team captain and register in groups of 3-10 participants.
  • University Theatre opens its 24-25 season with student production of “Teletype” by Wyat Hamilton. Running Oct. 3-6 in Kennedy-McIlwee Studio Theatre, this play runs nightly at 7:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee.
  • The Audacity of Pride: Our Past, Our Futures,” an exhibit celebrating LGBQT+ history, will run from Oct. 1-4 and Oct. 7-8 in D.H. Hill Library’s Cyma Rubin Visualization Gallery.
  • New Student Programs has launched recruitment for its 2025 Orientation Leaders and Summer Start Mentors. Please share this exciting opportunity with your students, the deadline to register is Oct. 11. Faculty and staff can also nominate students for these roles.
  • The First-Generation Advisory Council invites NC State students, faculty and staff to the annual First-Generation Student Summit on Monday, Nov, 4, from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Talley Currituck Hatteras Ballroom. Please RSVP by Oct. 11.
