Arch 600: Daniel Libeskind and Late-Modern ArchitectureĀ
What does it mean to lead an architectural life well? To examine this question, this 3-credit Arch 600 seminar offers an in-depth inquiry into the early life, creative practice, and architectural pedagogy of architect and educator Daniel Libeskind (1946-present).
Using this seminal figure as a lens into post-war North Atlantic architecture and its educational practices reveals complex questions that underpin each weekās themes. Through lectures, readings, videos, and discussions, students will explore not only Libeskind but also related architects and academics, works, and crucial ideas across different sites (profession, creative practice, and schools). This seminar aims to enrich the studentsā knowledge of their discipline as well as enliven their self-understanding as emerging professionals. If you are interested, please enroll.
