University College Celebrates Growth with New Plaque at Alumni Center
|

University College now has a plaque at the Dorothy and Roy Park Alumni Center on Centennial Campus, further showing its growth as a degree-granting college. Last week, DASA faculty and staff gathered at the center in a celebration of the new plaque.

- Military and Veteran Services is running a fundraising campaign through Nov. 12 to raise money for their program in honor of Veterans Day.
- Volunteers are needed for the 25th edition of Stop Hunger Now’s Rise Against Hunger meal packaging event.
- Three exhibitions are now open at the Gregg Museum of Art & Design: “Leading by Design,” “Selections from the Collections” and “BLOW UP II.” Galleries are open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- On Nov. 9, the NC State Crafts Center will hold the opening reception for the Fluxus exhibition, featuring the artwork of NC State students in the Arts Studies program from 5-7 p.m. The exhibition remains open daily through Nov. 14.
- University Theatre’s costume sale is set for Saturday, Nov. 18 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Frank Thompson Hall. Visa and MasterCard accepted. All sales are final with items sold as-is.
- Experience dance and music performances at NC State! Tickets for all Department of Performing Arts and Technology fall 2023 concerts are now available for purchase through Ticket Central.
- The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) recently announced that NC State received a five-year extension on its status as an Innovation and Economic Prosperity (IEP) Designee.
- Reminder: The NC State Higher Education Administration graduate program will hold its spring virtual recruiting event, Preview the Pack, Feb. 15-16, 2024. Virtual GA employer interviews will be the following week: Feb. 19-23, 2024. There is a virtual information meeting at 9 a.m. on Nov. 10.
- Reminder: Flu shots are free and available for NC State staff through appointments at the Campus Health Center, or walk-in clinics across campus until December. See a full schedule for clinics here.
