The 2021 fall semester is here and the UWM community could not be more excited to welcome our students back to campus. Move-in to residence halls on the east side campus has been underway since Saturday and a full schedule of Fall Welcome 2021 events is planned.

Find The Latest UWM COVID-19 Information Online

UWM’s COVID-19 website has been refreshed with current guidance and documentation, as well as a streamlined set of FAQs. The FAQ page is intended for questions that relate directly to COVID-19 health and safety and is organized into five categories: testing, vaccination, isolation/quarantine, classroom and office guidance, and campus guidelines. Emergency Grants Available For Students

The federal government has given UWM just over $25 million of Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) grants through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 to help students who have emergency expenses due to COVID-19. These funds are for any component of the cost of attendance or for emergency costs due to COVID-19. The application deadline is Sept. 13. READ MORE

Student Safety Is A Top Priority

The UWM Police Department and Dean of Students Office, in cooperation with the Milwaukee Police Department, use a collaborative approach in maintaining the safety and security of UWM students, staff, neighbors, alumni and families on campus and throughout the east side. The efforts include increased patrols and consistent safety messaging. This month, the proactive approach includes distributing free steering wheel locks to students who own Hyundai or Kia brand vehicles. READ MORE

Fall Part-Time Jobs And Internship Fair

The Career Planning and Resource Center will host its annual Part-Time Jobs and Internship Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 22 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in the UWM Union Ballroom. The job fair attracts employers interested in talking to all majors about employment opportunities.

Great Events Upcoming At UWM Planetarium

The UWM Planetarium hosts its first in-person events in over a year when Stars and S'Mores takes place this week. The next show is scheduled for Sept. 3. Enjoy free s’mores and relax outside while gazing at summer constellations through our telescopes. This event is open to the public and is one of numerous events planned for this fall.

Resources For Off-Campus Living
