| Georgia Tech’s overall number of Hispanic students continues to grow. This year’s group of first-year and transfer students had a record number of Hispanic students, and many are involved in student organizations that support and welcome Hispanic and Latinx students.

Ritter began her new role at Tech in August. She most recently served as professor of English and writing studies and interim head of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

This year’s theme is “Making a Difference in Georgia.” There are more than 700 local, state, and national nonprofit organizations to which employees can contribute.
