Warrior Park
It may have been wet and cloudy, but that didn't stop us from celebrating the Warrior Park ribbon-cutting with the first Indiana Tech Warriors softball game on the new field! The softball team started the new era by hosting regional rival Taylor University in a doubleheader, with Tech winning the opening game, 3-2. Take a look to see a quick overview of Indiana Tech Warrior Park on the day of the ribbon cutting:

Eva Kor
On March 18, Eva Kor, a survivor of the Holocaust and one of the few surviving twins from the medical experimentation supervised by Nazi doctor Josef Mengele at Auschwitz, spoke at Indiana Tech to a room full of students, faculty, staff and community members. For 40 years, Eva has shared her story of survival and healing across the world. It is one that offers many relevant lessons on the dangers of hate and prejudice, and the consequences of allowing prejudice to persist, unchecked, in others. It is also an incredible story of forgiveness—a conscious act that liberated Eva from the anger and hatred she felt for her perpetrators. Room Selection for Fall 2019
The Office of Residence Life (ORL) held the initial phase of room selection (student self-selection) Feb. 19-22 and has since been in the process of moving people off waiting lists and into rooms. Any student not assigned by May 3 will be contacted shortly thereafter with further information and options.
All current residential students must complete the Next Year Housing Questionnaire by May 1 to indicate their plans for next year; if the ORL is notified of their leaving after May 1, they will not receive their housing deposit back. This information has been sent to students, who can visit the ORL for assistance.
University policy states that students must live on campus for two years if they are not released from housing, so if your student is interested in living off campus their sophomore year, they must fill out a Housing Release Request Form by May 1 and email it to
jshale@indianatech.edu for processing. No off-campus leases should be signed before receiving a housing release in writing from the ORL. The form can be found here:
https://housing.indianatech.edu/resources/
Students who have changed plans since they filled out the Questionnaire should update it by May 1 and email the ORL at
residencelife@indianatech.edu.
Internships
Summer is the perfect time for students to gain experience outside the classroom to help build their resume! Having a relevant internship displayed on their resume will give students a competitive advantage over other candidates applying for the same position. Students can go to

Internship opportunities include: Sweetwater Sound, 3 Rivers Federal Credit Union, BAE, Franklin Electric, Star Financial, Fort Wayne Metals, Lincoln Financial and more! As always, if students need resume or application assistance, Career Lab is open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Students can simply walk-in without an appointment and we will get them set up!
