We have California Bred Fever! Bobby Z Man kicked off March with a convincing victory for his LRF Partners at Santa Anita Park ("SAP") on Sunday March 2. Z Man earned $34,800 and has now amassed nearly $125,000 in less than a year of racing. LRF's CA Bred filly Chati's On Top came oh-so-close to victory while finishing second (for the second consecutive time) in a CA Bred allowance race at SAP. LRF's 3yo CA Bred filly, Sheer Pleasure, will be back in action this Friday March 6 in the CA Bred allowance condition at SAP after finishing 4th in the CA Cup Oaks Stakes. After finishing 4th in a CA Bred maiden allowance race, CA Bred Chaulk O Lattey makes a start in March as well as CA Bred Heat Flash and (Non-CA Bred!) Larry Birdstone who both hope to find better success against softer company this Thursday March 5 and Friday March 6 at SAP.

Little Red Feather Racing, California's largest racing club, will head to the east coast in 2015! Next week, LRF will open a New York based partnership - a Fund to purchase 1-3 horses for the NY circuit. Our east coast athletes will be conditioned by up-and-coming young trainer, Michele Nevin. In 2014, her first full year taking over the reigns from Richard Dutrow, all Michele did was win 28% of her starts, with earnings of nearly $2.5 million. Michele also captured her first GI taking the Frizette at Belmont Park with By the Moon. The Fund is a great opportunity to network with other like-minded New Yorkers.
