Club Sports

Club Sports offer an exciting athletic alternative that bridges the gap between intramural play and varsity sports. There are currently over 50 club sports organizations at GVSU that range from recreational to highly competitive.

These programs are funded primarily by participant dues. Your contribution to a club sport of your choice will make a difference in students' ability to compete at the highest levels by offsetting out-of-pocket costs to participate.

Support

"When I brought my 2-year old daughter to her first GVSU basketball game, she immediately showed interest in the Laker Dance Team. The team members began interacting with my daughter, and before long, attending basketball games became the highlight of our week. These interactions have been an important part of my daughter's growth and development, as she experienced some developmental and social delays stemming from being born very prematurely. My daughter has become more confident in her social interactions, and her physical movements have steadily improved. It is rewarding to help support a student group, like the Laker Dance Team, that positively represents GVSU at athletic events and competitions around the state and across the nation."
