|
ADVANCE UP provides unique enrichment experiences to underrepresented racial and ethnic faculty (UREF) that lift up shared experiences, promote institutional awareness and networking, and advance scholars’ professional development.
Duration: 10-months, cohort-based
Target Audience: Early career UREF. It is expected that most applicants will be medical instructors, assistant professors or recently (1-2 years) promoted associate professors.

ALICE helps aspiring women leaders hone their leadership identity, further develop leadership skill efficacy, build community, and prepare for advancement into further leadership roles.
Duration: 10-months, cohort-based
Target Audience: Mid-career women faculty with new or emerging leadership roles.

DCLP provides participants insights into health system operations and strategy, opportunities for networking and skill development, and application of concepts through projects, all of which expand leadership capacity within Duke Health.
Duration: 6-months, cohort-based
Target Audience: Mid-career Duke faculty members with clinical responsibilities who are in, headed for, or aspiring to leadership roles.

LEADER helps early career investigators build a leadership and management toolkit that empowers them to effectively lead and inspire their team. Participants grow their interpersonal, communication, conflict, negotiation, and mentoring skills, while mapping a path to achieve individual career development goals.
Duration: 5-months, cohort-based
Target Audience: The most competitive applicants will be junior faculty who are leading a research team and have identified research as a principal focus of their career. Applications from both basic and clinical sciences are encouraged.
