January 16 - 19 Three-day retreat with recorded talks by Toni Packer -  Susan Schepp will be available for private meetings and afternoon group dialogues in this retreat. Susan worked with Toni for many years and has a deep commitment to meditative work. For talks, we will tap into the recently completed digital archive of Toni's talks. Toni's web page has been reformatted, and now includes a video of her being interviewed by Joan Tollifson. They inquire together in response to Joan's question - "Do you see yourself as a teacher?"
January 31 - Saturday All-Day Sitting - Contact reception if you wish to attend this popular day-long event. (See more information about the All-day.) And please book early if you wish to stay as a guest the night before or after.
February 14 - 21 Seven-Day retreat with Wayne Coger - Wayne has been on staff at the Center since 1983. In addition to staff work, he has been teaching since 2001. He'll give talks and be available for meetings in this winter retreat. See a retreat video of Wayne speaking on awareness, practice and being here.
News
Warm holiday greetings to all who take part in the work of the Center, and grateful thanks to everyone who has responded to the year-end appeal. The Center thrives only with the help and support of many. It is now definite that the old Center plow truck will need to be replaced. Your donation will help make a new truck possible. The Donate button redirects to a payment processor powered by Stripe. Donations, membership dues and retreat contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Website Update - With Richard Witteman’s interest and encouragement, the Center’s website content management system has been switched to WordPress, and the site has been updated. Though only 17 years old, Joseph Shearer provided expert help during the process, aided by Richard, staff and friends. The site is not yet complete. Work is still in progress on access to books and audio/visual recordings. To make the site operate most effectively, your feedback is needed and welcome. Please contact us with your comments, requests, and (hopefully rare) reports of any difficulty in using it.
Happy trails to staff member MaryAnne Ries - MaryAnne is moving to Vermont after several years of devoted work in the garden and housekeeping. We will miss her quiet and competent presence, sense of order and beauty, and wish her all the best as she enters a new phase of life and being.  In the photo below, staff, guests and friends serenade MaryAnne with an internet-assisted version of Happy Trails to You. Two people interested in staff will begin volunteering in January.
