Fall 2025 Academic Support Program For Student-Athletes
Located centrally on campus, the Academic Support Program for Student-Athletes (ASPSA) supports the academic, personal, and professional development needs of all student-athletes at NC State. Each semester, hundreds of Wolfpack student-athletes benefit from ASPSA’s tutoring services thanks to the efforts of our support staff. Open positions include:
Tutor: Provide individual, small group, and/or drop-in style content tutoring based on specific academic courses
Academic Mentor: Work on academic skills such as time management, goal setting, self-advocacy, test preparation, note-taking, and reading comprehension
Writing Assistant: Work in ASPSA’s writing center to support writing across multiple disciplines
Study Hall Monitor: Enforce facility rules, report issues, and monitor check-in/out for student-athletes

Lecturer – Tourism, Recreation, & Sport – UNC-Wilmington
The School of Health and Applied Human Sciences (SHAHS), within the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), seeks an outstanding faculty member for a Lecturer, nine-month position in the School’s Tourism, Recreation, & Sport program beginning August 2025.
The successful candidate will have a wide-ranging background and be able to teach a variety of undergraduate core courses in the program, in addition to courses in the Tourism concentration area. Further, the successful candidate will advise and mentor students and provide community engagement and professional service. This is a non-remote position. The candidate will work in a collaborative interdisciplinary academic setting.

Extension Associate (Physical Activity Coordinator) – Louisiana State University
Healthy Communities is an LSU AgCenter initiative that makes Louisiana towns healthier places to live, work, learn, pray, and play. The LSU AgCenter SNAP-Ed Program uses research-based approaches to make healthy diet and lifestyle choices easier for SNAP recipients and other low-income audiences in 40 parishes across the state. The Physical Activity Coordinator will provide leadership, support, and technical expertise in physical activity educational outreach, promotion, and policy, systems, and environmental change strategies (PSEs) within SNAP-Ed and HOP communities.

American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration – Externship Program
The Academy’s Externship Program enables outstanding young professionals 35 years of age and younger in the parks and recreation field to interact with and learn from American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration members, and other individuals who attend the NRPA Conference and its associated meetings. Up to four Externs are selected each year, two of which are Ernest T. Atwell diversity externs.

North Carolina Space Grant / North Carolina Sea Grant Graduate Research Fellowship Program
The joint North Carolina Space Grant – North Carolina Sea Grant Graduate Research Fellowship Program invites interdisciplinary proposals from across the state based on four broad focus areas. The fellowship requires the use of data from vast archives and remote-sensing capabilities available through the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as part of the research process. Successful proposals must adeptly utilize relevant measurement instruments and/or remote-sensing data sources from NASA, NOAA, or other sources that can include, but are not limited to, radiometers, spectroradiometers, satellite sensors, LIDAR, aerial imagery, and other data collected from airplanes, unmanned aerial vehicles, and/or unpiloted submersibles in the execution of the proposed work.

Professional Pathways Summer Program – NC State Graduate School
This summer the Professional Development Team is offering a special event for graduate students and postdoctoral research scholars who are interested in pursuing faculty positions in higher education (“Professor Pathways”). This workshop series consists of two, half-day sessions and will be held on Tuesday, July 22 and Wednesday, July 23 from 8am-12pm.
Participants will be able to learn more about developing high-quality application materials, such as CVs, cover letters, and teaching philosophies and also have opportunities to workshop these materials for the academic job market. Governor Morehead School for the Blind is hosting a Community Goalball Day on Wednesday, April 30 from approximately 12pm-5pm. They are looking for folks interested in playing goalball and also need volunteers to assist with their tournament that starts at 2:30pm (not playing, just managing the clock and watching the corners of the court). Shelton Challenge Summer Intern
The Shelton Challenge Summer Intern is a vital part of the Challenge programs of the Shelton Leadership Center (SLC). The intern will assist the SLC staff in providing positive, impactful learning experiences to Challenge students and staff. Interns work in conjunction with the full-time office staff to ensure the Challenge programs are planned and implemented with a high level of quality. This paid internship will allow students to gain experience in a variety of leadership, event planning, and administrative skill development. Competitive candidates will have a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. Past Shelton Challenge experience is preferred, but not required.

The National Park Service is recruiting two, 640-hour summer interns to provide cultural resource and museum collections support at Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument in Hagerman Idaho. The members will serve with the museum and archeological teams within the Cultural Resources Division.

The Center Director assists with planning, organizing, and directing the programs, activities and operations at Lake Lynn Community Center directly or through subordinate employees. Central duties include the ability to dynamically engage the community and conduct outreach to develop, implement, and market programs for diverse ages and populations. Additionally, this role supervises a full-time Recreation Program Analyst, part time staff, a contracted custodian, and volunteers.

Director of Learning and Community Engagement – North Carolina Botanical Garden, Chapel Hill
The Director of Learning and Community Engagement provides overall leadership and direction for the North Carolina Botanical Garden’s Learning and Community Engagement programs. In that role, the Director of Learning and Engagement supervises education and engagement staff, develops and implements program plans and budgets, and provides strategic vision for adult continuing education, youth environmental education, therapeutic horticulture, the Carolina Community Garden, Edible Campus UNC, and other partnership initiatives. The Director also supports garden-wide events, oversees the volunteer program, and collaborates with departmental and communications staff in the development of exhibits and interpretive programs. This position has budget authority for Learning & Community Engagement and is expected to develop funding proposals to support departmental activities, track and report program participation and impact, and serve as a member of the Garden’s executive leadership team.

We are currently looking for summer camp counselors. In total our staff will impact almost 750 campers per summer. Our summer staff and the season are a crucial part of furthering our mission to provide campers with an experience that lasts a lifetime. We provide housing, meals, and all essential training. Sales Associate, Inside Sales – Carolina Hurricanes

The emphasis will be on Full Season, Partial Plan packages and Groups. Production Assistant – NC State Athletics
Serve as camera operator to work live broadcasts and in-house productions for NC State University Athletics (football, basketball, baseball, soccer, etc.) in Raleigh, NC. Experience with live camera work in sports is highly preferable but not necessary. Other production positions (Graphics, Replay, TD, etc.) are a possibility too based on experience. Help during set up and tear down before and after games is expected.

Ticket Office Operations Assistant – NC State Athletics
The NC State Athletics Ticket Office is a division of the Athletic Department at NC State University and is responsible for all ticket operations at sporting events hosted by NC State Athletics. Ticket operations include the following sports: football, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, wrestling, and gymnastics. Ticket Office employees will be responsible for providing assistance to the ticket office and its customers on game days. They will be handling customer inquiries, the distribution of event tickets, and other tasks as needed.

Part-Time Position at the USA Baseball National Training Complex (Cary, NC) – Team Store Associate
Shopping for USA Baseball gear in a retail location that includes shelves of Team USA New Era caps and Nike t-shirts, pullover and hoodies, and racks of Nike shorts; there is only one place in the world in which to do it: The USA Baseball Flagship Store located at the organization’s training complex in Cary, N.C. With 1,000 square feet of USA Baseball gear, the Flagship Store is the destination of many during the tournaments and other major events at the complex – including players and their families. The store also attracts visitors to the Triangle-area, who while they may not be in town for a baseball tournament, still make it a point to visit USA Baseball’s retail store. The shop acts as an important link for the organization with its fan base. It’s not unusual for store staff to answer questions related to all aspects of USA Baseball, from directions to the National Training Complex to the steps for trying out for national teams.

National Training Complex Operations Staff – Cary, NC
As National Training Complex (NTC) Operations staff, you will report to the Coordinator, National Training Complex Operations, Senior Director, National Training Complex Operations, and National Training Complex Operations Interns and support the operational and logistical needs of USA Baseball’s events at the National Training Complex (NTC) in Cary, North Carolina. You will serve as a liaison between USA Baseball and the Town of Cary and assist with event preparation and execution to ensure a seamless experience for teams and attendees.
