Dear parents and families,
We've enjoyed having your student back on campus for the past couple of weeks. Campus is buzzing as students settle into their spring classes. We are coming off a weekend of Lunar New Year Festival performances and are in the midst of Interfaith Week.
This spring’s Career Expo will be next Tuesday, February 11 and will include employers from all industries. If your student needs some resume help or career coaching prior to the spring Career Expo, encourage them to visit the Center for Career Engagement or to attend one of the Spring Expo Prep Sessions.
As a reminder, the Residential Life Housing Renewal Process is open for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors. Students who want to create a roommate group need to do so by Thursday, February 20.
Finally, I would like to highlight our financial well-being resources. The office of Financial Wellness is dedicated to building students’ awareness, knowledge and skills in managing their personal funds. We aim to foster a culture of healthy money habits to help students achieve financial well-being both during their time at WashU and in their lives after graduation. Our Financial Wellness team offers a variety of resources, including workshops, one-on-one sessions, drop-in hours and a money management platform. Please initiate this important conversation with your student and encourage them to take advantage of these valuable resources.
Warmly,
Anna "Dr. G" Gonzalez
Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs
